Agents of Change Workshop PDF Print E-mail

This workshop is to train a selected group of influential staff members, of different levels, as agents of change. Without the support of a net of strong and committed allies, successful implementation of change will be unattainable. In every process of change there is a group of people willing to try new ideas and ready to contribute. If properly trained and supported, they can play the roles of carrying the message, listening to concerns, supporting experiments, bridging communications and promoting strategy implementation.

The learning agenda of the workshop is defined based on the organizational diagnosis conducted by MoDA® and is individualized with support from personality typology data provided by the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the feedback provided to every participant by their Management and Leadership Practices Inventory (MLPI.) The MLPI is a 360° feedback instrument developed by MoDA® that helps participants to determine strong and weak aspects of their influencing skills.

The workshop gives participants a set of skills and attitudes that allow them to
succeed as promoters and supporters of change. Participants learn how to: a) communicate the strategy of change; b) support strategy implementation efforts; c) support development of strategic competencies; d) hear concerns and deal with fears; e) promote and support learning; f) measure success; g) enforce accountabilities; h) support one another to avoid losing faith in the outcomes of change or become victims of the process.

Significant emphasis is placed on aligning behaviors with statements of value. The workshop empowers participants to deal with resistance by recognizing the ways individuals commit themselves to change and identifying the motives that prompt them to resist.

Usually, the workshop is a five-day residential activity. The ratio of facilitators to participants is 1:5, to allow for intensive work on influencing skills laboratories with support from the TV.
